About the Awards

The Lake Country Board of REALTORS® is fortunate to have many wonderful volunteers donating their time, energy, and talent to make the association a successful organization. Each year, the Association recognizes a few of these individuals with the following awards: Affiliate of the Year, REALTOR® of the Year, Good Neighbor Award, Rookie of the Year, and REALTOR® Spirit Award.

Award Nominations

Nominations for the awards listed below are appreciated. Nomination forms can be downloaded using the Nomination Form on our Applications & Forms page. All nominations for annual awards will be presented to the Awards Committee and must be submitted via an online form before the posted due date.

Affiliate of the Year

The Affiliate of the Year Award recognizes an LCBR Affiliate member who has demonstrated exceptional service, professionalism, and unwavering support of REALTORS® and the real estate industry. This award honors an Affiliate who actively participates in Association events and initiatives, builds meaningful relationships with members, and consistently goes above and beyond to strengthen the partnership between Affiliate businesses and the REALTOR® community. The recipient exemplifies integrity, reliability, and a commitment to the success of the Association and its members.

REALTOR® of the Year

The REALTOR® of the Year Award is the Association's highest honor, presented to a REALTOR® member whose outstanding contributions to the Association, the real estate profession, and the community exemplify excellence. This award recognizes a member who demonstrates exceptional professionalism, leadership, and REALTOR® spirit while upholding the principles of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. Nominees should have achieved business success, actively participated in LCBR events and activities, supported the mission of the Association, and made a lasting positive impact on fellow members, clients, and the communities they serve. 

Good Neighbor Award

The Good Neighbor Award recognizes a REALTOR® member whose commitment to community service extends beyond the real estate profession. This award celebrates a member who has made a meaningful and lasting impact through volunteer work, charitable involvement, and service to local organizations or causes. The recipient exemplifies compassion, leadership, and a dedication to improving the quality of life within the communities they serve while inspiring others through their selfless commitment. 

Rookie of the Year

The Rookie of the Year Award recognizes a new REALTOR® member who entered the real estate profession on or after July 1st in the year preceding the qualifying year and has demonstrated exceptional promise, professionalism, and early career success. This award honors a member who has quickly embraced the REALTOR® profession through business achievement, active participation in Association events and educational opportunities, and a commitment to serving clients and the community with integrity. The recipient represents the bright future of the real estate industry. 

REALTOR® Spirit Award

The REALTOR® Spirit Award honors a REALTOR® member who consistently exemplifies the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and integrity. This award recognizes an individual who promotes cooperation among fellow REALTORS®, supports the mission and values of the Association, and serves as a positive ambassador for the real estate profession. Through their commitment to ethical business practices, leadership, and encouragement of others, the recipient reflects the true spirit of what it means to be a REALTOR®.
