Agent Open House Caravan

Connect with fellow REALTORS®, showcase your listings, and gain valuable market insights through the Lake Country Board of REALTORS® Agent Open House Caravan. Find tour schedules, submission guidelines, helpful resources, and everything you need to participate below.

Agent Caravan Member Resources

The Lake Country Board of REALTORS® Agent Open House Caravan gives MLS members the opportunity to preview new listings, network with fellow REALTORS®, and gain valuable market insights.

Caravans are held on the first and third Thursday of each month. When a month includes a fifth Thursday, that date becomes a Caravan Free-for-All, allowing agents to add any active listing, including properties that have previously been featured during the current listing period.

Caravan Announcements and Reminders

Invitations, schedule updates, and Agent Open House Caravan reminders are distributed exclusively to Lake Country Board of REALTORS® MLS members through the LCBR MLS Announcements Listserv at mlsannouncements@lakecountryrealtors.com

Caravan correspondence is sent by Tracy A. Southerland, Associate Broker, from info@tracysoutherland.com. Members may wish to add this address to their contacts or approved sender list to help ensure messages are received.

To stop receiving Caravan notifications, please email mls@lakecountryrealtors.com and request to be removed from the Caravan announcement list.

Adding a Listing to Caravan

When submitting a property for Caravan, please remember:

  • Listings may be featured once per listing period, except during fifth Thursday Free-for-All events.
  • Each agent may submit up to three listings per Caravan.
  • Please check the number of homes already scheduled before adding a listing. To keep the tour manageable, each Caravan is generally limited to approximately 20 properties.
  • Attendance at the morning meeting is encouraged but not required when you have a property on tour.

Important Submission Guidelines

To ensure your listing appears correctly on the Caravan schedule:

  • Select Tour, not Open House, when creating the event.
  • Listings entered as an Open House will not appear on the Caravan schedule.
  • Information entered in the Open House fields may syndicate to public websites, including Zillow®, Realtor.com®, and other IDX websites.
  • Include your name and phone number in the listing comments.
  • Schedule the tour for at least three hours.
  • Review all listing and event information before submitting, particularly when it has been entered by an assistant.
  • Print your own Caravan PDF and bring it to the in-person meeting.

Clear Cooperation Policy

Only properties that are actively listed in the Lake Country Board of REALTORS® MLS may be discussed during Agent Caravan meetings.

All listings must follow the NAR Clear Cooperation Policy, which requires properties to be submitted to the MLS within one business day of public marketing.

For full requirements and details, please review the Clear Cooperation Policy.

RPAC: Your Best Investment in Real Estate

The REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) is the largest and most successful bipartisan political action committee in the country. Through advocacy, grassroots engagement, and support for REALTOR®-friendly candidates, RPAC helps protect property rights and advance policies that support the real estate industry.

Why invest in RPAC?

RPAC gives REALTORS® a collective voice in the political process, helping elect leaders who make decisions that impact your business and your clients.

Where does your investment go?

One hundred percent of your voluntary investment supports REALTOR® advocacy efforts. Seventy percent stays at the state and local levels, while 30 percent supports federal races through National RPAC. RPAC is proudly bipartisan and focused solely on advancing REALTOR® priorities.

How does your RPAC investment pay off?

Your RPAC investment helps protect your business, your clients, and private property rights through advocacy at the local, state, and federal levels.

  • Major Tax Reform Wins for Real Estate: Federal tax reform legislation included five key NAR priorities that protect both real estate professionals and consumers.
  • Protected 1031 Exchanges: Preserved a valuable investment strategy that allows property owners to defer capital gains taxes and reinvest in real estate.
  • Protected Veteran Home Loan Benefits: NAR successfully fought to ensure veterans can continue to use a REALTOR® when purchasing a home with their VA Home Loan benefit.
  • Secured Property Tax Relief: Georgia lawmakers passed legislation implementing mandatory statewide property tax caps for primary residences.
  • Advanced HOA Reform: Supported legislation requiring HOAs to register with the state, establishing a property owner bill of rights, and increasing foreclosure protections.
  • Secured Insurance Reform: Passed legislation requiring prompt payment of disaster-related claims, establishing standards for the use of drone and satellite imagery in policy decisions, and providing homeowners additional time to address property issues.
  • Protected Property Rights: Prevented local governments from requiring residential rental property registration.
  • Preserved Short-Term Rental Opportunities: Ensured short-term rentals remain a valuable option for property owners seeking to diversify income streams.
  • Improved Permitting Processes: Supported local permitting reforms that establish review deadlines, increase accountability, reduce delays, and help support housing development.
